Driving without insurance in Missouri

Being caught driving without insurance in Missouri affects your driving record and your finances. To reinstate your license after a no-insurance suspension, you’ll need to file an SR22 certificate with the Missouri DOR. After license reinstatement, you’ll need to carry SR22 high-risk insurance for three years. If you’re a vehicle owner, the certificate will be an endorsement to your auto insurance policy. The SR22 will be a rider to a non-owner insurance policy if you don’t own a car.

Driving without insurance in Missouri is against the law, as it is in all 50 states. If you get pulled over and can’t provide proof of insurance, the state will suspend your driver’s license.
